- The royal greeting words in the Empire of Neme on Otherworld
Tara Duncan is a reboot of the Tara Duncan franchise, which premiered in 2021. It is somewhat more faithful to the book series. It is in 3D computer animation. Unlike the 2013 cancelled series, episodes are shortened to a mere twelve or nineteen minutes.
It was added online on Christmas Day, 2023, two years after its premiere in France, with its titles in Italian as opposed to English or even French. The second season onward will air some time after their original release in France.
Synopsis
Eleven-year-old Tara Duncan Brami Santa Ab Maru has learned of her spellbinder heritage and is now on Otherworld, living in the empire of Mene (renamed from Omosis) to learn how to further develop her already incredibly powerful magic, all while learning how to be a proper heiress apparent of the realm under the guidance of the blue shapeshifting dragon/high wizard Master Chem for her paternal aunt Empress Lisbeth, who is infertile. In addition to royal lessons, Princess Tara is trying to find any way to transform her maternal great-grandfather Manitou Duncan from his canine form to his original human form as a renowned high spellbinder.
Her new best friends are an elf/spellbinder hybrid named Robin Maan'Gil, spellbinder master thief (Spotter) Caliban Dal Salan and shapeshifting beastly spellbinder Princess Gloria "Sparrow" of the Lancovit kingdom who help her learn more about Otherworld and its various magical races of magical humans (called "spellbinders" shortened from "those-who-know-how-to-bind-spells"), fairies, centaurs, gnomes, dwarves, dragons and many more that Tara Duncan thought were just myths and legends due to her maternal grandmother Isabella keeping her true nature a secret for twelve years.
Elsewhere, in the Gray Fortress, a large group of rogue gray robe-wearing spellbinders called Bloodgraves are led by a masked malevolent spellbinder called Lord Magister, who desires to have his loyal Bloodgraves attempt to abduct Princess Tara, so he can absorb all of her increasingly powerful magical abilities for himself to achieve his ultimate ambitions of dominating Otherworld and beyond, including her adopted home world Earth.

Trivia
- This is less loosely based on Tara Duncan and the Spellbinders. Unlike the original show, this reboot will have more than just one season and twenty-six episodes.
- The quartet are given a magical girl-like effect whenever they don their magical armor, even Robin and Caliban.
- Caliban Dal Salan is more childish and rides an overboard, like Odd della Robbia from Code Lyoko and Code Lyoko: Evolution.
- Robin's hair is short and dyed pale gray and black.
- Lord Magister repeatedly attempts to abduct eleven-year-old Tara Duncan, especially now that she has come into her ever increasingly magical abilities and is next in line to the throne of Meme should her paternal aunt perish, so that he drain her dry of her magic to enable him to become strong enough to dominate Otherworld and the rest of the cosmos. As Robin mentioned, Tara has the strongest powers in the universe, without which Magister cannot dominate Otherworld and the rest of the cosmos. In the novels, he has Princess Tara personally be used to allow him access to the ancient demonic artifacts that can only be activated by Lord Demiderus' direct descendants; Princess Tara herself and her paternal aunt Empress Lisbeth Brami Santa Ab Maru.
- The second season has aired on the Italian Rai channel.
